Over the years I have bought plenty of popcorn in a bag that you simply place in the microwave oven and leave it for about 3-4 minutes and you have instant popcorn. One of the problems, is I find you get lots of unpopped down the bottom of the bag.
When it came across the Presto 04820 PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper
is was really interesting to see the amount of reviews it had from customers who have already purchased. It was lots of positive feedback and you can read many of the reviews here over at Amazon.
Essentially popper relies on hot air to pop the corn instead of using oil or fact that you sometimes find other systems using. This of course is much healthier and if you are worried about putting on weight but also ensures that they are lower in calories.
As you can see from the photograph on top of the popper you get 1/2 cup measure which allows you to place butter, which melts using the heat that the popper generates when it is being used.
An important part in my books is always. Maybe because I always end up doing It, The good news is the Hot Air Corn Popper is pretty easy because all you need to do is remove the clear plastic cover and cup and use some warm soapy water to do so.
What do we like
- It can make up to 18 cups of popcorn in less than 2 1/2 minutes
- The fact that you have virtually no unpopped kernels makes this very useful
- It is much faster and essentially more economical than using microwave bag popcorn
- It also has the advantage of using hot air so means you have less oil which is perfect for people looking for a low calorie solution.

is an amazing appliance because if you have never considered purchasing a bread maker then you would be in for a complete treat because this makes it so easy to cook bread. It makes it so simple all you have to do is simply add the ingredients then follow the instructions and the maker does everything else. It also has the added feature of being able to mix and knead dough which gives you the option to use this to make other types of breads like bread rolls or pizzas.
It has plenty of functionality and because of this it is extremely popular and rates extremely well with many consumers who have purchased this. For example one of the really nice functions it has built in is a 13 hour delay timer which allows you to add the ingredients may be goto bed or work and when you wake up the next morning or arrive home from work you have freshly baked bread. It’s able to mix, kneads, rises and bakes the bread easily.

- As I said already it has close cultural which allows you to decide if you wish to have a light, medium, or even a dark crust. But, this also depends on the type of bread are baking.
- It comes with an option to speed up the baking process.

Is there anything that we don’t really like
Its big and comes in at 14in high by 13.5in width, which might take a little bit of space on your counter. Then again if you are just using this and then storing later this may not be an issue.

I’m a big fan of George Foreman products and I must say that this particular grill is one that I really like. It comes with five removable plates which is way more than what we normally see with grills.

The Braun Tassimo TA 1400 Hot Beverage System
is one of the popular coffeemakers in the marketplace today. Over the years I have really noticed that coffee makers are becoming more and more popular and that the concept of them is changing all the time. It’s really nice to have one that is easy to use and by that I mean being able to simply press people and you can have a steaming hot coffee quickly to make all the difference to many people.
If you’re looking for an appliance that can not just make coffee but can also brew hot chocolate, cappuccinos, lattes, espressos and make tea will maybe you should read on further and see what features and benefits the Braun Tassimo can offer.
If users what’s called T-Discs and each one of these contains the premeasured ingredients. All you simply do is pop this into the machine and it knows what to do. The reason it knows what to do this because each T-Disc has a bar code and machine is able to read this and then knows exactly what type of beverage you are making so it can brew the perfect cup. It’s kind of really intelligent and always amazes me how things like this are engineered. By knowing this it can determine exactly how much water is required and it also knows what temperature it needs whilst brewing.
You do of course have options to customize any of the preset settings so if you like stronger coffee you can change this to allow the brewing time to be longer.
What we like
- It has an adjustable cup stand that can be manoeuvred to suit most sizes of cup
- It comes with a removable water tank which makes it much easier to fill and clean
Other things you should know
One thing that you should really know is that this can only make one cup at a time. This of course is very convenient for lots of people however it really only takes a minute or so for each cup so if you do not see another coke or you are making one for somebody else it really doesn’t take that long.

The DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker
is definitely one of the better value espresso makers that is available at present. One thing I particularly noticed is its sleek Italian design and wonderful engineering that we come to expect from DeLonghi which, make it stand out from its competitors because of its features.
When looking for a coffeemaker it’s always important to look at the features and benefits while the benefits of this machine is that it has the ability to use pod coffee and ground coffee. We all know that it is nice and convenient to use pod coffee is really just a quick way of doing this but I particularly care that this machine can also use ground coffee because it gives you that choice especially if you have found a particular brand of coffee that you like.
One of the other really nice features is that this has a dual-function filter holder. This particular feature allows the espresso machine to not only just filter but it allows it to also mix air when you are making a brew. If you’re not familiar with this way of making coffee I’m sure you have come across this in many shops previously. The air is used to create smooth frothy topping or otherwise known as crema that you always find on top of your expresso.
What we like
- It comes with a removable water tank which of course makes it more convenient to fill
- Cleaning is made particularly easy because it has a removable drip tray
- As we have said already you can use ground coffee and pods when using this coffeemaker
- One of my favourite things is that it comes with a swivel jet frother which is ideal for making lattes and cappuccinos something I am personally really happy with
- It’s been designed particularly well and has a very compact design is means it will not take up too much space in your kitchen
What we don’t like
- I’ve seen previously in my local coffee store where they use a separate smaller cup when using the frothing wand. Because it seems quite low you might need to do the same with this.
