We are hearing lots in the news and papers nowadays about efficiency and especially energy efficiency. You may be interested to know that thermal cookware actually uses over 50% less energy than is used when doing traditional cooking and that’s why today we are looking at the Kuhn Rikon HotPan 4.5 Liter Braiser.

There are number of things you should know before considering purchasing one of these. First of all, this particular product comes with a thick aluminium bottom which means that you get a very fast and even heat distribution. As you can see from the photograph on the left side this is a very stylish and brightly colored braiser can’t keep food hot to two hours once you keep the stainless steel cooking pan in place inside the supplied melamine holder.

It’s a scratch resistant as you know already it can retain heat. The lid fits perfectly into the rim of the pot which helps to increase insulation. One really nice feature that I particularly like is that the inside of the lead is lower in the middle and what you will find around the edges. This really comes into play as you begin to cook because the compensation from the cooking gathers in the middle of the late and can fall back into the pan without having to worry about it escape in around the edges. This ensures that your flavor within your food remains.

I particularly like the stay cool heat resistant handles which unlike other pot we tend to use did not stick out and take up too much room on your stove.

• Because this comes in a beautiful elegant color it is very suitable for bringing to the table and serving. It can also be used for serving salads for example surgeon not necessarily have to cook anything in it to make sure it gets use.
• The energy-saving features are definitely a plus and the fact it also keeps your food hot at the same time is an added bonus.
