Black & Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Baker

The fresh smell of Waffles in the morning can be absolutely beautiful. I remember a few months ago I was staying in a hotel and they had a professional Waffle maker where you simply forward in the batter and worked on a rotated system which rotated the cooking plates. It was very simple but yet very efficient.

This got me thinking the other day to review a waffle maker and I came across the Black & Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Baker.

What are the important things to look for

Very solid and very well made
Can be easily changed and will allow you to remove the cooking plates
Easy to use – this is a key point especially if you have children that want to use this
Safety is also important because you do not want the waffle maker becoming too hot where it could be dangerous.
Easy to store – if it comes with a handle you want to make sure that this can easily fold so it can be store in your kitchen cabinets.

The Black & Decker G48TD is also a grill and waffle maker so offers the extra functionality. The plates can easily be taken out which makes watching Oprah very easy. The many reviews that I have read on this all say that nothing sticks to it which, of course is a good thing.

What features do we like?

You can easily remove the cooking plates
It can also be used for making pancakes and sandwiches.
Many customers who have purchased this found that no batter sticks to the inside. Even one customer tried it using gluten free batter and found no problems.
Cleaning is very easy.

Is there anything we don’t like?

A number of customers who have purchased is reported that it can get very hot on the outside at times. Once you are careful it will not pose any problems whatsoever. But, it’s always recommended to keep children at a young age away from this because of the extra heat on the outside of the waffle maker. The general consensus amongst many customers who have purchased this was very positive and they seem to be the only issue that the odd person had.
